Meet Valerie

Valerie Schantz, owner of Valerie Miller Events, has planned and produced events professionally for over 21 years. Starting her career in the nation’s capital, Valerie quickly moved up the ranks in one of Washington D.C.’s elite catering companies.  There she learned first-hand the ins and outs of handling the most prestigious parties and clientele.

In 2001, Valerie moved to San Diego with her husband Paul and founded her own bi-coastal party planning business where she executed political shindigs for congressmen and ambassadors on the East Coast while coordinating upscale corporate events, social functions and weddings on the West Coast.

Valerie expanded her services in 2007 to Austin, Texas, where she moved with her husband and their then precocious two-year-old son. With her roots in weddings, lavish corporate/private parties, and a gamete of political events, Valerie has now carved out a loyal fan base on the Austin event planning and design scene.

With her years of experience, and an amazing team by her side, she focuses highly on customer service and meticulous attention to detail.  “My clients’ needs are the single most important thing to me when planning an event,” Valerie says.  “They know that no matter how large or small their needs are, I’ll provide them with the best customer experience.  My mission is to make any vision come to life and to assure that all guests have a wonderful time.”

When not immersed in the fine details of event coordinating, Valerie enjoys time with her husband, her teenage son, her sweet loving daughter and of course, throwing private parties of her own!
