Kara & Zach chose their wedding date for a very specific reason…The date was March 14th, 2015, or 3.14.15. “Pi Day” is celebrated on March 14th around the world, but Pi Day 2015 was special because “1” and “5” are the following numbers in the sequence of Pi, which is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. The next numbers in the sequence are “9, 2 and 6”, so at 9:26pm, the Groom took to the mic to explain the significance of Pi to their wedding guests.
The significance? Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point, and continues infinitely. What a fitting analogy for the start of Kara & Zach’s new chapter together as husband and wife.
This wedding was especially significant to us because it was also a reunion for us! We did Kara’s sister, Kami’s wedding the year before, so we got to see their whole lovely family again and work with a lot of the same vendors, who we love!
